Day 89 - Sunday October 21 - morning

I called to check on Kathryn this morning and we have nurse Donna back. We haven't seen her with Kathryn for quite some time!!! Kathryn had a good night and is up to 18 ccs per feed. She may go up again today too!! Also, since she is now up on her feeds so much, they expect to be taking her off of the Hyperal and Lipids either today or tomorrow. We have been on those since birth to help with her nutrition, but as her food increases she no longer needs them. That means that she won't need her PICC line anymore either. They would probably leave it in for a few days just in case, and then remove it (probably by this time next week). That would mean only one other thing "in" Kathryn which is her IV for blood transfusions - only when she needs it which is much less frequently now. Going from all the things that she used to have, to only one (or none) would be amazing!!

Kathryn is also up to 3 pounds, 1 ounce (just 2 ounces shy now of where big sister Maddie was born!) She is absolutely showing all of us just what miracles are!! I got to hold her again yesterday and hopefully, Greg will get to today!! She actually opened her eyes yesterday when I held her and she just looked at me like I was her long lost home!!

Oh, and she is still only on one vent!!

Please pray for Kathryn!!

Kelly
